Review of Nick Gillespie article “Stop Panicking About Bullies”

Thank you Nick, for finally saying what all heartless douchebags are thinking. Fuck kids.

What do they know anyway? They didn’t have it tough like us, growing up in the midst of all that mid-80s strife. It’s so much better now. These kids just don’t know it. I mean, who cares that youth suicide has gone up over 200% since the mid 70s? Right?

Bullying is just kids being kids. I’m sure when you were a kid, you went around tormenting your peers as well right Nick? I must have missed out on this particular passage into adulthood, what with my overbearing, and “busybodies” parents continually interfering in my life and trying to instill their crazy philosophy of “All men are created equal” into me at a young age.

Now, kids have it great. Sure, as you admit, there are bullies, but we dont want to “whip up a frenzy” to stop them… who cares if suicides spiked by 8% in a SINGLE YEAR. Everyone knows it gets better when you reach adulthood. I mean, so long as you are being bullied for being a geek, or for a quirky name… If it happens to be because you’re gay, or because you’re female… well in that case, you should just get used to it.

That’s right. Get used to it. Because as an adult, the bullies still exist. They just rebrand themselves “Republicans” and go on doing the exact same thing as they did in High School. Making sure that anyone different feels they are less than human, and not deserving of happiness.

Nick, you shrewd devil you, why you’ve done it. You’ve brought to light the main reason we shouldn’t stop bullying… because then, these kids might expect us to stop it as adults too.
