This week, I went and checked out a blog called “Cool Hunting”. The blog was started with design in mind, but has grown to include everything from tech and travel, to food, to (of course) design and fashion. The articles are well written with an easy to read way about them.
The focus is placed on the cool, and the hip, more than the green and the fresh, which will appeal to some, but others will find useless. If you are a eco-traveler, their travel section might be found wanting, but for those of us who travel for the city splendor, the awesome shops, trendy nightclubs, and best food… it’s a blessed place.
The Tech section seems to be the most hit or miss spot for me. Often interesting and “neat”, very rarely does it really show me something I must have. While Rosewood IPhone covers are a novelty, are they seriously worth 90 bucks? Not to me. Maybe to others.
If there is one section that they really hit the nail on the head, it’s food and drink. Their reviews of the different beverages go into a great amount of detail, and help one understand why one Vodka is so different from another. It fills me with an overwhelming urge to eat and drink, and make merry times with friends. I know the next time I’m in NYC, I’m going to Culturefix, for some of their in house brews. The most recent piece on Reyka Vodka is detailed, inspiring, and mouthwatering. (Well, for us Vodka lovers at least)
The Piece on Reyka can be found here: http://www.coolhunting.com/food-drink/reyka-vodka.php

Check it out, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have been!
